We'll have more in episode 209.1 (assuming we can get things together for a comic book update).
From the DC Comics blog:
From the creative team of writer Robert Venditti and artists Billy Tan and Richard Friend, GREEN LANTERN #21 finds most of the Guardians of the Galaxy dead at the hands of Sinestro, and the Corps still reeling from the First Lantern’s ferocious assault on Oa. The handful of Guardians who remain, then, select Hal Jordan to rebuild and lead the Green Lanterns.
In an effort to begin refilling the Corps’ decimated ranks, Hal releases the rings of the recently fallen Lanterns to find replacements for their sectors. Moments later, he and Kilowog notice a bright orange glow on the horizon: Larfleeze and the Orange Lanterns are attacking!
So what direction will GREEN LANTERN be heading in following this new creative team’s exciting inaugural issue? To find out, look no further than the teaser found on issue #21’s final page (which THE NEW YORK POST exclusively revealed yesterday) that shows a brief but enticing glimpse of the challenges confronting the Corps in the coming months!
“Everything you see in that teaser image will have happened by October,” Venditti teased to IGN. “It’s going to be a busy few months!”
What’s new villain Relic doing to Hal Jordan? Who are those bizarre masked creatures standing behind that member of the Star Sapphires? Which planet is being ripped apart? Place your bets in the comments section below!
